DAVE MANGUM

The the sought-after coach has put together an all-star sports program featuring some of the area's most talented instructors.  Dave and The Westchester Wave provides a variety of services, including travel teams, sports instruction, personal fitness training, recess activities, after-school programs and awesome sports parties.  

A  Manhattanville College graduate, Dave played baseball and track and field for Manhattanville. At Rye High School, Dave lettered in three sports.

Dave's diverse sports background and energetic, encouraging persona have made The Westchester Wave the go-to athletic experience for children and teens in the Hudson Valley.

MARTY DURKIN

The Westchester Wave’s AAU Basketball Coach Marty Durkin, is also known by many as "The Shot Doctor". Coach Durkin has over 25 years of experience in working with kids, including close to 15 years of head coaching experience. He was an all state and all county high school basketball superstar and holds a degree in Physical Education. Coach Marty Durkin, who has spent the last 30 years coaching youth and highschool basketball is the Westchester Wave’s head coach and mentor to all of the other already experienced coaches. Our coaching staff believes in teaching overall fundamental skills and learning the game from the ground up. Marty runs the wave travel teams. Marty also runs excelent clinics and is available for 1 on 1 training as well.

COACH CHRIS CONKLIN

Coach Chris Graduated from Lakeland High School in Shrub Oak, N.Y. in 2013 … played three years of varsity baseball and two years of varsity basketball for the Hornets, a two-time Section 1 Class A All-League selection for basketball He was 2012 Wendy’s High School Heisman Award recipient. voted as the most athletic in the 2013 class. Chris went on to Manhattanville college to play baseball where he became one of the most accomplished players in program’s history. Chris graduated with his masters in education. Chris has experience coaching at all levels including JV and varsity coaching experience at Lakeland for basketball. Chris is also the head coach of The 19 U shrub oak tigers American Legion baseball head coach. Players in Chris’s program have committed to over 20 colleges to play sports during his 2 years as head coach. Chris is also the head coach of the Wave 8th grade girls team.
